ASJ facing is a standard feature: it typically consists of aluminum foil, an reinforced fiberglass mesh, and white paper (or a polymer film). With an extremely low water vapor transmission rate—down to 0.02 perm—it effectively prevents moisture ingress, thereby averting condensation beneath the insulation layer and corrosion of metal piping.
Convenient and efficient installation: The pipe‑shell assemblies typically feature a 36‑inch‑long hinged design that opens like a book and snaps directly onto the pipeline, making operation exceptionally easy. Most products come with a factory‑pre‑applied self‑adhesive sealing system; during installation, simply remove the release liner and press to seal the longitudinal seam—no additional tape or staples are required, ensuring a clean appearance and enhancing installation efficiency.
High fire resistance: ASJ glass wool pipe shells are inherently Class A non-combustible materials, and even after being clad with a facing layer, their flame spread index remains below 25 and their smoke production index stays under 50, typically meeting the fire‑safety requirements of most buildings.
New‑generation coating is more durable: The next‑generation ASJ coating features a paperless design, offering more than three times the toughness of conventional ASJ, enhanced resistance to punctures and tears, and inhibiting mold growth—significantly improving both product durability and hygiene.
